2010 Catena Chardonnay
On Sale $15.99
"The 2010 Chardonnay was barrel-fermented, put through full malolactic fermentation, and aged for 9 months in 30% new French oak. The enticing nose offers up hints of toast, pear, and tropical fruits, leading to a well-balanced wine with the fruit buttressed by vibrant acidity. Drink this tasty effort over the next 3-4 years. It is an outstanding value. " 90 points The Wine Advocate

2009 Catena Alta Chardonnay
On Sale $29.99
"Yellow tinted , with toasty, creamy aromas of baked apple and pear. Feels round and fleshy but fresh, with peach and baked apple flavors blended with copious toasty oak. Toasty and long on the finish; a high-quality Chardonnay for sure."
90 points Wine Enthusiast

2009 Catena Cabernet Sauvignon
On Sale $15.99
"The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon (100%) was aged in French and American oak, some of each portion new, for 16 months. Cedar, Asian spices, incense, black cherry, and black currant notes lead to a surprisingly elegant Cabernet for its humble price. Spicy, smooth-textured, and easygoing, with a bit of underlying structure, it will provide enjoyment over the next 6-7 years."

2009 Catena Malbec
On Sale $18.99
"A rich red, with ripe layers of linzer torte, plum pudding and fig paste flavors backed by notes of mesquite, olive paste and grilled herbs. Grippy tannins add weight to the long, vibrant finish. Drink now through 2013."
91 points Wine Spectator

2009 Catena Alta Malbec
On Sale $49.99
"Good ruby-red. Laid-back aromas of blackberry, musky coffee and licorice, with a violet note emerging with air. Superconcentrated and sweet, but with firm balancing acidity and a mineral pungency giving the wine excellent thrust. Very deep Malbec with broad, smooth tannins and serious length."
92 points Steven Tanzer

2008 Catena Zapata Malbec "Adrianna Vineyard"
Presale $109.99
"The 2008 Adrianna Vineyard Malbec also spent 18 months in 100% new French barriques. It is a similar purple/black in color, with an expressive bouquet of sandalwood, exotic spices, incense, mineral, black cherry, and black raspberry. Broader on the palate than the Nicasia cuvee, it displays serious extraction, great depth of flavor, complexity, and impeccable balance. This loaded, lengthy effort will evolve for at least 5-7 years and offers a drinking window extending from 2014 to 2028." 97 points The Wine Advocate

2008 Catena Zapata Malbec "Argentino Vineyard"
On Sale $109.99
"The 2008 Argentino Malbec is a blend of 65% Adrianna and 35% Nicasia fruit. It, too, spent 24 months in 100% new French oak. The Argentino offers a similar aromatic and flavor profile but with just a bit of extra nuance, presumably because of the blending. Dense, rich, and voluptuous, this lengthy effort should easily achieve its 20th birthday in peak form. It will be most enjoyable to taste these three wines side-by-side in another 10-15 years." 97 points The Wine Advocate

2008 Catena Zapata Nicolas
On Sale $109.99
"The 2008 Nicolas Catena Zapata is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Malbec, and the balance Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc that spent 24 months in 100% new French oak followed by 24 months in bottle prior to release. It delivers an inviting bouquet of wood smoke, pencil lead, espresso, incense, lavender, black currant, and black cherry. This sets the stage for a full-bodied, powerful yet elegant, beautifully proportioned effort with great depth and volume. It conceals plenty of structure and will effortlessly evolve for 6-8 years, drinking well through 2028, if not longer."

Legendary Dom Perignon Oenotheque, Very Limited

We have a very limited amount of this rare gem available from the house of Moet & Chandon. It's like Dom's big brother, a bit brawnier and more mature. Act fast to take advantage of this rarity!
1996 Dom Perignon Oenotheque
On Sale $325.99
The 1996 Dom Perignon OEenotheque offers up layers of pastry, lemon, smoke and toastiness. At first deceptively understated, the wine turns positively explosive and layered on the palate, showing remarkable tension, elegance and power, all wrapped around a seriously intense frame. The balance between fruit and acidity is awesome. This is a marvelous DP OEeno. The OEeno is the same juice as the regular Dom Perignon, except the OEeno is aged on the cork while the regular DP is aged in crown-sealed bottles. Once disgorged, the OEenos gets a slightly lower dosage than is typical for the original release DP. This bottle was disgorged in 2008. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2026.

2009 Chateau le Thil Comte Clary Rouge Pessac-Leognan On Sale $25.99
This is quite ripe, with a big core of linzer torte, cassis and blackberry fruit, but well-supported by graphite and melted licorice notes. Offers ample breadth and depth, with honest grip through the finish. A rather polished style for a Pessac. Should settle in nicely with mid-term cellaring. New David Ramey Pre-Sale!

We have a pre-arrival offer from one of our favorite producers in California, Ramey Cellars. I think that David Ramey is in the top five winemakers in Napa & Sonoma and his wines have been superb vintage after vintage. This offer is Wish List only. Orders will be confirmed once our allocations are verified. Please let me know what you're interested in...

"David Ramey is one of the few California winemakers who thinks in terms of structure, not just flavor, something that sets him apart from many of his peers. All of the wines I tasted at Ramey’s cellar just outside Healdsburg were terrific. I also sampled a number of older wines, all of which have held up very well. Best of all, most of the wines remain very fairly priced considering the quality of what is in the bottle. " Antonio Galloni, the Wine Advocate

2009 Ramey Chardonnay Carneros "Hudson Vineyard"
Pre-Arrival Price $54.99

"The 2009 Chardonnay Hudson Vineyard impresses for its focus and nuance. Layers of chiseled, beautifully delineated fruit emerge from this sculpted Chardonnay. The Hudson is about subtlety first and foremost. Ripe apricots, freshly cut flowers, pastry, lemon, crushed rocks and French oak inform the pure, creamy finish. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2019. "
Rated 94/100 Points, the Wine Advocate

2009 Ramey Chardonnay Carneros "Hyde Vineyard"
Pre-Arrival Price $54.99
"The 2009 Chardonnay Hyde Vineyard is another of the wines that emphasizes textural depth and body. This is a relatively plush, rich Chardonnay endowed with considerable volume in its apricot and tangerine fruit. The aromas and flavors move towards the more tropical end of the spectrum, but without fully reaching that level of exoticness. Readers who appreciate a more full-bodied style of Chardonnay will love the Hyde. I especially like the way the wine turns delicate with time in the glass. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2019."
Rated 92/100 Points, the WIne Advocate

The 2009 is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Lamoreaux, DeSantis, J. Davies and Somerston. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2021."
-Rated 93-95/100 Points, the Wine Advocate

2009 Ramey Cabernet Sauvignon Diamond Mountain Napa Valley "Annum"
Pre-Arrival Price $89.99
"The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Annum comes across as a bit restrained next to the 2008, which is not a bad thing at all. It possesses stunning depth and volume in a dramatic style that stands far apart from the super-ripe 2008. Mint, freshly cut flowers, spices and licorice are some of the notes that add complexity to the fruit. The resonant, creamy finish leaves a lasting impression. The 2009 includes a new source of fruit, Shartsis, a vineyard near Dana Estates’s home vineyard in Rutherford that comprises 55% of the blend. J. Davies (28%) and Pedregal (17%) account for the remaining 45%. The 2009 Annum is 83% Cabernet Sauvignon and 17% Petit Verdot. It is a great, great wine from David Ramey. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2029."

Pre-Arrival Price $159.99
"The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Pedregal Vineyard bursts onto the palate with an exciting tapestry of black cherries, plums, camphor, smoke and grilled herbs. It is a tremendously powerful, structured wine endowed with tons of richness. This dark, brooding beauty will require considerable patience, but is a stunner. Wow! 2009 Gros Nore Bandol Rouge

We have a limited amount of this gem from the Bandol appellation in southern France. Bandol is located north of Marsailles and Mourvedre is the main grape produced in the appellation. The wines can be drunk early, but with their tannic structure, properly stored, they can age for 10 or more years. The 09 Gros Nore is a great candidate for the cellar at a fantastic price.

Importer Kermit Lynch on Domaine Gros Nore:
"Alain Pascal farms sixteen hectares of vineyards with the help of his brother, Guy, on the rolling hillsides around La Cadière d’Azur. The vineyards are composed of both clay and limestone, imparting a pronounced structure of earthy, splintered rock. This microclimate near the Mediterranean brings warm weather and full sun, tempered by the persistent Mistral. Alain leaves his grapes to mature fully on the vine, lending great intensity to the fruit. Where appellation law demands that each blend includes at least 50 percent Mourvèdre, Alain uses 80 percent—a choice that gives more power and concentration to the final assemblage.   Do not be fooled by the strength and boldness of the Gros Noré Bandol, though; underneath a big exterior is a wine of character, depth, complexity, soul, and finesse."

2009 Domaine Gros Nore Bandol Rouge
Sale Price $34.99
"Ripe yet elegant, with concentrated flavors of blackberry, dark cherry, tar and dark chocolate. There’s lots of cream and spice mid-palate, with a dollop of smoke, followed by a lilting finish of black licorice and bittersweet chocolate, with hints of mint. Drink now through 2020. 265 cases imported. 80% Mourvedre, 15% Grenache, 5% Cinsault"

Lost Abbey in St. Louis

Bretta Beer
The best part of collaboration is discovering mutual passions. With Lost Abbey, it is the wild, Belgian yeast Brettanomyces. The Lost Abbey Collaboration is brewed simply with pale malts, accompanied by Target, Centennial and Sorachi Ace hops for a hint of citrus. But the brettanomyces is in the spotlight; a full brett fermentation offers bold pineapple overtones and a funky, sour edge. The shining, golden shade is specked with haze, and the beer is warming and dry. The Lost Abbey Collaboration is full of wild wonder and will leave you wanting more.
Just the facts Ma'am...
Birthdate - July, 2012
ABV - 7.5%
Hops - Target, Centennial, Sorachi Ace
Malts - Pale
OG - 21
Body - Medium
Aroma - Tropical overripe pineapple/lemon and tropical fruits, nice pleasant malt and some spicy clove phenols.
Mouthfeel - Starts out luscious fruity and then ends like a Flintstone’s vitamin (fruity and drier)
Flavor - Soft tart/citric character from both the hop and the wild yeast. Some sweet bready and honey notes.
Visual - Hazy pale golden straw with pillowy foam.
