It's Rose Time!!!

Fresh, French Rosés
We love the fresh, aromatic rosé wines from southern France. They're gaining in popularity but there still sort of an insider's wine. We're pretty sure that at least 25% of our sales of French rosé is purchased by Wine Merchant Staffers! These are go-with-almost-anything wines when it comes to the table and are, in our opinion, the ultimate hot weather wines. Grab some bottles and stash a few of them for a hot summer day. Summer will be here soon. Quantities are very limited. Please act quickly.

Wine Critic Robert Parker on Rosé
"There's nothing better on a sultry day than a wonderful bottle of dry rosé."
-Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate

2008 Chateau Mourges du Gres
"Fleur d'Eglantine" Costieres de Nimes
On Sale $11.99
"We're big fans of this winery located near the city of Nimes. This is made mostly from Grenache. Brilliant strawberry-pink color with aromas of white flowers, wild strawberries and a touch of maraschino cherry. Great balance and a refreshing finish."
-John Nash, The Wine Merchant, Ltd.

2008 Domaine Les Grands Bois
Cotes du Rhone 'Cuvée Les Trois Soeurs'
On Sale $11.99
"This is a great rosé from the southern Rhône valley. Not to be confused with the red wine of the same name (the soon to arrive '07 is a knockout!), it's a blend of Grenache, Carignan and Cinsault that has a pale, almost clear rosé color. The nose is bright and fresh with creamy fruit and floral notes. It's been bottled unfiltered which contributes to its sense of character and place. Very tasty."
-John Nash, The Wine Merchant, Ltd.
