95 Point Spanish Closeout

We predicted late last Fall that 2009 would be a year chock full of closeouts and lo and behold our prediction has come true. We have a new one for you from Spain's Priorat region. It's called Clos Galena and this stunning blend (a really cool, funky blend...) from the 2005 vintage received a rave review from The Wine Advocate. It's packaged in wooden six packs too, something that we don't see much of as most wineries have switched to cardboard boxes. Quantities are very limited. Please act quickly on this special offer...

2005 Clos Galena Priorat
Closeout Price $42.99
Compare to The Wine Advocate's Price of $58
"The 2005 Clos Galena is 40% Garnacha Negra, 20% Carinena, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, and 10% Syrah also aged for 12 months in French and American oak. Inky purple, it offers a similar aromatic profile but is a larger-scaled wine bordering on opulent. Rich and layered with plenty of underlying structure, this hedonistic effort will evolve for 5-7 years and drink well through 2025."
-Rated 95/100 The Wine Advocate
