"Duckhorn's 2008 Sauvignon Blanc is one of those seamless wines that seem to come 'round too infrequently. The nose is fresh, ripe and exotic with notes of lime, lush fruit and tangy citrus. Upfront grapefruit and lemon flavors layer over subtle mineral notes. The finish is just as interesting with hints of spice from barrel fermentation intermingled with deliciously ripe fruit. This Sauvignon is richer than most but there's plenty of acidity to bring it into focus. Special note to history buffs...
